Spherical projection domes for CASIM2 in MTC
Coventry, UK /
June 2014
Centre for Advanced Simulation & Modeling for Manufacturing (CASIM2) is a joint venture of University of Birmingham, Rolls-Royce plc, Airbus and MTC (Manufacturing Technology Centre) aimed to encourage greater collaboration between academia and West Midlands SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) in field of computer simulation technologies.
CASIM2 is known for their seminars where selected research centers and companies demonstrate their cutting edge-technologies. It is an opportunity to try and explore their innovations in reliable and safe environment. Freedomes together with our partner and immersive experience expert Holovis, unveiled the future of visualization in manufacturing, proving that entertainment is not the only application for spherical projection technology. Visualization of designs before manufacturing reduces time and risk by providing greater design awareness.
On 11 and 12 of June 2014 Manufacturing Technology Centre in Coventry, UK hosted selection of spherical projection domes including small dome simulator covered by white PVC panels, as well as large 12 meter full projection structure based on a Freedome 110.
The presentation in Centre for Advanced Simulation & Modeling for Manufacturing (literally) displays the interdisciplinary character of MotionDome technology – which is a perfect solution for science, business and entertainment industries.
