PM of Italy in geodesic structure featuring full dome projection
Bologna, Italy /
October, 2014
We always say that our events change lives of hundreds or even thousands of people, but it has never been so true as with the cornerstone laying ceremony that took place in Zola Pedrosa, a small municipality near Bologna, Italy.
It is a place where tobacco industry giant Philip Morris invested 500 million Euro, to build a manufacturing facility that will give employment to over 600 of people. You could say that smoking is awful and that we should not bluster about our involvement in this kind of event.
Actually manufacturing plant that will be built near Bologna opens a new chapter in history of this company. It will be a place where each year they will make over 30 billion of electronic smokeless cigarettes, that are not hazardous to human health. That does not only make them a source of income for hundreds of people and their families, but it also makes e-cigarettes more accessible to people that decide to quit regular smoking.
No wonder that event held in Freedome 700 attracted attention of both media and politicians, including the prime minister of Italy Matteo Renzi, which 5 minute uplifting speech was met with great applause.
Il Futuro è Oggi (The Future is Now) was leitmotif of the event and to emphasize this theme hosts prepared an animation that showed the history of Bologna and dedication of Philip Morris to innovate. Stunning full dome projection displayed on inner surface of the blackout membrane was the biggest one featured so far in a Freedomes structure also opening a new chapter in history of our company.
