Dome tents for FIVB Trophy Tour in Poland and Italy

Freedomes took a part in 2014 FIVB Trophy Tour, a series of events showcasing trophy for Men’s and Women’s World Volleyball Championships, dream of 48 teams from 24 countries.
Trophy is composed of 12 individual blades representing 12 players of each team. Manufacturing process took over 60 hours of computer aided design, 120 hours of machine milling and 24 hours of hand polishing. Shape of FIVB trophy resembles speed, elegance precision, purity, and team spirit, values shared by employees of freedomes. It makes us particularly proud that International Federation of Volleyball choose our 110 dome structures as an appropriate site to display its beauty.
Trophy Tour visited 12 cites in 2 countries. Katowice, Wroclaw, Krakow, Bydgoszcz, Lodz and Gdansk with Trophy of Men’s Championship in Poland, and Bari, Milan, Modena, Rome, Trieste and Verona with Trophy of Women’s Championship taking place in Italy.
Additionally to providing F110 dome tents with premium floors, air conditioning, and custom lighting, we were also given a task of designing a custom membrane for each trophy tour. Dome for Men’s Trophy Tour featured a combination of red and transparent membrane. Structure for Women’s Trophy Tour has been covered by a combination of blue and transparent sheets.
Trophy display was not a sole purpose our geodesic domes. In center of the interior we build a stage for additional activities, including interviews with special guests and live performances by known artists.
Visitors loved how shape and color of our structures resembles a volleyball, an effect we aimed for from the beginning.
