Dome Fan Zone at the Riot Games EU Championship in Krakow

Adrenaline, emotions and competitive spirit… everything that the players of the cult “League of Legends” game enjoy the most was served in really high doses during the energising Final of the 2016 Riot Games EU Championship in Krakow. This means that the eyes of the whole gaming world were also set fast on our Freedomes 75.
At the hot and sunny August weekend, the best European “League of Legends” teams were fighting passionately to be crowned winners and gain their ticket to represent the “old continent” in the World Championships later that year. This no. 1 event for the iconic gaming company Riot Games was hosted in the TAURON Arena Krakow and all the around-event fun was going on in Freedomes structures set up in front of the Arena. Three white domes 75 with transparent fronts created a special fan area where gaming enthusiasts could buy Riot Games gadgets and accessories, get a tattoo with their favourite “League of Legends” character or do some networking with players from all over the world.
Riot Games is a well-known American video game developer that is primarily acclaimed for its “League of Legends” game that has over 100 million active players each month. The game is so popular that it already became a significant part of the pop culture and got its own widespread competitive scene. Annual Local Championships that culminate with the World Championship gather unprecedented numbers of viewers which should be counted in dozens of millions with the total prize pool of over 6 million USD.
