Since Dubai is the place where people not only dream big but simply refuse to get involved in projects that are anything short of breathtaking, it should come as no surprise that their eyes turned to the spectacular structures offered by Freedomes, as they appear to be designed to be perfectly suited to fit the impressive and unique cityscape of the United Arab Emirates.
Bracing ourselves for the harsh conditions of winter in the Persian Gulf, the Freedomes team arrived in DXB confident that, given the skills and experience, we can set up a structure that can meet the standards set by the likes of Burj Al Arab or Burj Khalifa.
After setting a new record regarding the assembly time, we felt confident we could polish all the details and set up the interior for the spherical projections and holograms inside, to make sure it would meet the expectations of His Royal Highness, Ruler of Sharjah, who was to hold his book launch in the Freedome 700.
The dome itself, sporting an impressive 706 sqm of flooring area, was fitted with 35 round tables seating 11 people each and housed (apart from the stage and translator booths) over 500 people on the day of the event. The biggest challenge for the Freedomes team, and one that actually took more time than the assembly of the structure itself, was helping the AV team fit over 2,5 tons of equipment around the dome, including HD projectors and the equipment devoted solely to providing the holograms - the same set up that was used on such occasions as the MTV Music Awards.
As evidenced by the live broadcast on at least three UAE TV stations, the whole event was a huge success and we could add another completely satisfied customer to our list.
“A picture is worth a thousand words” and that rings incredibly true when it comes to Dubai, a place that is supposed to be a visual experience more than anything else. Having said that, we will let the photos from the events speak for themselves. Enjoy.
